Microprocessor-based
RPM control with peak power tracking for minimizing blade
noise, and optimizing
blade-to-alternator efficiency. Lower tip speed. |

| Air-X Improvements |
|
1. |
|
Much lower
noise: Electronic braking instead of blade flutter allows
for much quieter and neighbor-friendly operation. |
|
2. |
|
Improved
battery charging: Measures voltage at the battery for
a true voltage reading resulting in more efficient charging.
All current is shut off at the full charge. No trickle charging. |
|
3. |
|
Lower stress
design: Power is controlled through torque control and
is not dissipated by the electronics resulting in lower stress
on the electronics, bearings and other materials. High
wind electronic stall protection slows blades to 600 rpm,
significantly reducing turbine and tower loading. |
