Very easy to use, at a glance it will show you if any obstructions (trees, buildings, etc.) will shade your proposed solar array site at any time of the day or year. All you need is the small plastic dome with the latitude specific sun diagram underneathe it to determine when any objects will block the path of the sun. You can even trace the shadows on the sun path diagram for a permanent record, and use it in conjunction with the included location specific information to determine very specific information regarding efficiency (solar insolation) percentages and power production (kWh/m2/day) on a monthly basis. |
