About ETA Engineering, Inc.

ETA Stands for:

"Engineering Technology Associates"

The letter "eta" from the Greek alphabet is used by engineers to denote efficiency.

Extensive Experience:
ETA's engineers have a combined technical experience of over 200 years and have designed thousands of systems, making us more than qualified to be an authority on almost anything sustainable.

Wide Selection:
ETA is a factory direct distributor of more brands of solar power and renewable energy products than anyone in the Southwest. Not being tied to one or two manufacturers when designing a system allows us to choose which products will work best for our customer's needs, and budget.

ETA - the sustainability experts, as well as registered Professional Engineering:

Since 1992 ETA has led the commercial PV industry in Arizona. The largest distributor in the state, ETA is a full service boutique whose systems, products, and designs have been implemented and installed worldwide. From specialized government and industrial work, to aesthetically pleasant, discreet, small and large systems for remote and grid connected homeowners, ETA makes it happen. ETA’s employees have designed thousands of systems, handling NEC codes and CAD work, and include LEED accredited professionals, as well as a registered Professional Engineer, making us one of the few PV licensed companies in AZ to stamp engineer drawings.

The key to our success:

Our superior quality engineering, design, and products, with beyond the call of duty customer service and technical support, and a relentless drive to be proper stewards of the land have helped us succeed where others have failed. The most trusted and respected name in the state, more dealers, installers, architects, builders, and developers come to ETA for renewable energy products, complete systems, designs, engineering, and consultation than anyone else in the state. From concept to completion, we bring your sustainable needs to fruition with the experienced and knowledgeable team at ETA.

Located in Mesa, Arizona, ETA Engineering incorporated in 1992 as a hard shell "C" Corporation with Lane and Ursula Garrett as principals.  They both have started several companies, worked in new product development, conservation and the Renewables Industry since the mid 70's.  ETA first did new product development and consulting in the Medical Electronics and Renewables Industry.  The opportunity presented itself for the manufacturing of a photovoltaic battery charge regulator and metering line of products that have grown into ETA's current product line.  The regulators are manufactured under a U.S. patent owned by the Garretts.

ETA has since added numerous renewable energy product lines, engineering, service, full dealer support and design capability to where needs are met throughout the broad field of sustainable products, buildings and systems.

Our distinctives include: well-engineered systems with life-cycle costing, efficiency and simple human interfaces, as key design factors.  This with factory direct pricing, results in the best "net present dollar value" for new systems.  ETA strives to minimize product costs through wise purchasing, inventory and transportation cost control, while advertising primarily through the World Wide Web.

Manufactured products and economical "kits" permit us to maximize "value added" with designed-in reliability.  ETA regulators, battery chargers, converters and meters optimize system performance and efficiency.  Photovoltaic electronic controls, design and manufacturing experience dates back to the 70's.  ETA's Engineering, manufacturing and marketing teams are dedicated to helping the new paradigm of "sustainability" become obtainable at a reasonable investment for all levels of world society.
